On Tuesday, Julie Lythcott-Haims, New York Times best-selling author of How to Raise an Adult and former dean of freshmen at Stanford University, will deliver a keynote address. How to Raise an Adult is a provocative manifesto that draws on research; conversations with admissions officers, educators and employers; as well as personal insights into motherhood and university deanship, to highlight the ways in which overparenting harms children, their stressed-out parents, and society at large.
