Job Summary:

The Sales Team at TargetX is looking for an Account Executive who is passionate about helping institutions of higher education deliver on their mission. We are seeking a sales performer with experience selling complex technology in a consultative manner, familiarity with student recruitment and/or CRM software, and experience working with higher education.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of a territory plan that meets or exceeds quarterly quotas
  • Engagement with prospects via telephone and email, following sales cycle from prospect to successful deal closure. This includes providing prompt responses to every inbound lead and delivering demos as needed.
  • Consulting prospective clients to ensure TargetX solutions will be the right fit and navigating them through a rapid sales process
  • Identification and creation of new qualified sales opportunities from inbound leads and outbound sales initiatives and programs.
  • Collaboration with Marketing on lead generation projects.

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least five years experience in higher ed enrollment or in enterprise software sales. Ideal candidates will have both
  • Familiarity and comfort with CRM technology, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and ability to manage multiple projects at a time

Account Executive (Mid-Atlantic & New England)

Sales Executive – Mid Atlantic & New England

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Location: Within the territory listed below. Strong preference given to: Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Washington D.C.

Territory: This position would handle a territory that includes (territories will change based on the needs of the organization): NY, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia.

Travel: Ability to travel 60% of the time

Job Summary:

TargetX is seeking an experienced, consultative sales professional who is passionate about applying technology to improve the recruitment and retention of students in higher education. The Account Executive is responsible for selling a suite of offerings to colleges and universities, including TargetX’s Recruitment CRM and Retention CRM solutions. This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is responsible for achieving new sales quotas within the territory. The position is entrepreneurial and those who succeed in this role are 1) familiar with and passionate about higher education and higher education technology, 2) excellent problem solvers, and  3) successfully able to build relationships with all levels of staff within a university.

Professionals without sales experience will be considered if 1) they have strong experience in higher ed admissions and 2) have relevant experience working with technology within higher ed.

Primary Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop a territory plan to exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Develop and execute account and opportunity strategies to win new business
  • Lead prospects through entire sales cycle from the first call to successful deal closure. This includes prospecting and managing inbound leads.
  • Engage with prospects in a consultative process to thoroughly assess their needs and propose appropriate services
  • Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation projects.
  • Ensure successful sales through professional and timely responses, sound knowledge of services available, and timely sales execution.
  • Travel as required to prospects, customers, or marketing events (approximately 60% travel)

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of overall work experience with track record of success in consultative sales and solution selling of SaaS applications or IT consulting services; or background in management consulting, IT strategy, or technical sales support. Professionals without sales experience will be considered if 1) they have strong experience in higher ed admissions and 2) have relevant experience working with technology within higher ed.
  • Obvious passion for higher ed, technology, and technical sales with deep experience in or serving higher ed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience using technology to improve organizational processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization both internally and externally at a school
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Force.com, and AppExchange offerings a huge plus.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant with Salesforce experience and the technical aptitude to learn and grow. As an Implementation Consultant, you will play an important role within the Implementation Team by executing and implementing TargetX solutions for our higher education clients. You will report to the Director of Implementation and work closely with Project Managers and Solutions Architects to implement projects efficiently and effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customize TargetX’s products in client Salesforce instance, including but not limited to, configuration, setting security parameters, and data migration/integration
  • Ensure successful projects by executing implementation tasks according to client requirements and within determined deadlines
  • Manage implementation tasks across the multiple clients and internal projects
  • Understand the product implementation requirements from the business and technical aspects
  • Problem-solve and escalate any challenges or issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure completed work is properly documented for client acceptance

Job Summary: 

The Product Manager role is to be the voice of the customer inside TargetX.  Each PM ‘owns’ a portfolio of solutions, from market requirements through product launch. Success is measured in terms of sales (wins vs losses due to features) to new customers, and customer adoption (value add) of new feature releases.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Customer Insight & Communication:  

  • Engage with customers to understand product requirements.  Ensure the product reflects the market needs, and not for one specific customer or one sale.
  • Provide internal and Customer community updates on a regular basis
  • Attend relevant industry events to assess future needs of our solutions
  • Assist marketing in positioning our solutions for both buyer and user personas.

Product Leadership:

  • Prioritize feature requests from the customer submitted ideas backlog, input from internal groups and new industry or market needs.
  • Actively participate in scrum activities with R&D.
  • Seek to understand win/loss information and competitive landscape.
  • Recommend & help build a business case for product enhancements and/or new products to TargetX leadership.

As a member of our team, you will leverage your passion for BI to seek out and structure data to support our analytics capabilities forward.
