Job Summary:

The Sales Team at TargetX is looking for an Account Executive who is passionate about helping institutions of higher education deliver on their mission. We are seeking a sales performer with experience selling complex technology in a consultative manner, familiarity with student recruitment and/or CRM software, and experience working with higher education.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of a territory plan that meets or exceeds quarterly quotas
  • Engagement with prospects via telephone and email, following sales cycle from prospect to successful deal closure. This includes providing prompt responses to every inbound lead and delivering demos as needed.
  • Consulting prospective clients to ensure TargetX solutions will be the right fit and navigating them through a rapid sales process
  • Identification and creation of new qualified sales opportunities from inbound leads and outbound sales initiatives and programs.
  • Collaboration with Marketing on lead generation projects.

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least five years experience in higher ed enrollment or in enterprise software sales. Ideal candidates will have both
  • Familiarity and comfort with CRM technology, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Lead Developer (Full Stack/CRM/Mobile Apps)

Position Overview:
TargetX is looking for an experienced senior manager to lead our growing services department. The department is comprised of four teams, each led by an associate director level manager — 1) project management, 2) implementation services, 3) support and 4) adoption services.  The right candidate will be an excellent problem solver with demonstrated success in leading software implementation and professional services teams, who is also a great cultural fit and able to comfortably adjust from tactical to strategic depending on the situation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create a culture that is client-centric, team focused, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the four teams mentioned above, ensuring that every client has an optimal experience with TargetX starting pre-sales through the renewal process.
  • Work with CEO to develop goals and objectives for the department, then working with the managers within the department to develop strategies and plans to achieve the goals and objectives. The plans should include clear methodologies, job descriptions, staffing plans, and processes for each phase of the client lifecycle.
  • Implement reporting capabilities to track, monitor, and measure the status and effectiveness of all of our client-facing activities
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure that implementation and support teams have the tools they need to perform their jobs.
  • Provide strategic input to the product, development and client services teams to ensure that our products and services are meeting client expectations and needs
  • Support our sales teams by helping with proposal generation, RFP responses, and prospect meetings

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Candidates should have at least 15 years of business experience in software delivery with at least 5 years experience in professional services or project management. Consulting and Salesforce experience are highly desirable.
  • Must be familiar with the needs of a rapidly growing company and be flexible and adaptable enough to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven staff management, strategic planning, and budget management experience
  • Strong client management and relationship building skills
  • Strong understanding of implementation methodologies, project management frameworks, and customer service approaches are required.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills are a must
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders, resources, management, support staff, and third party vendors
  • Strong problem solving skills and an ability to thrive in ambiguity are absolute requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on priorities and time of year
  • Proven ability to manage and interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results
  • Undergraduate degree from a selective university is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
