Accounts Receivable/Billing Representative

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Conshohocken, PA

Job Summary

We’re seeking an ambitious Accounts Receivable/Billing Representative to join our office. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, energetic, proactive, and work independently in a team environment.   You will own client setup, ensure that services are invoiced timely and received by clients. You will investigate delinquent receivables accounts by communicating with customers via email and phone, address and resolve customer inquiries, and provide a high level of customer service. You will be responsible for providing financial administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate collection of company receivables.

Goals and Objectives for this role:

  • Review awarded contracts on a daily basis and complete the associated invoicing tasks
    • Ensure clients are set up accurately
    • Record transactions in accordance with the contract services/products and dates
    • Prepare invoices in accordance to contract requirements
  • Work with Project Managers to invoice customers for professional services
  • Proactively manage the accounts receivable cycle to ensure that invoices are accurate, complete and distributed to clients in a timely manner
  • Work with internal/external customers to research and resolve aged and disputed accounts receivable and escalate when necessary
  • Actively perform follow-up on accounts that are past due and document correspondence
  • Provide timely response to internal and external customers to address invoice questions, concerns and status
  • Review accounts receivable registers and reports to confirm accuracy of financial records
  • Administrative and office tasks (supply monitoring, orders, mailings, data entry, etc)
  • Special assignments/projects as required.

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or high school degree or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable will be considered.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated. You possess a can-do “make it happen” attitude.

CRM Consultant (Sales Development Representative)

Reports to: Associate Director, Sales Development
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Travel Requirements: 20-35%

Job Summary

TargetX is seeking a consultative sales development professional who is passionate about applying technology to improve the recruitment and retention of students in higher education. The CRM Consultant (sales development representative) is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities for selling a suite of technology products and services to colleges and universities, including TargetX’s Recruitment and Retention suite of solutions. The position is entrepreneurial and those who succeed in this role are 1) familiar with and passionate about higher education and higher education technology, 2) excellent problem solvers, and  3) successfully able to build relationships with all levels of staff within a university.  

The CRM Consultant assists the field sales team in all parts of the sales process, from the cold calls and rebuttals, and to the close- with an emphasis on outbound outreach to generate and qualify leads. The key objectives are to establish and grow a book of business while working closely with our field sales team to produce custom proposals and ensure customer satisfaction. The CRM Consultant will be responsible for executing a comprehensive outbound lead generation plan through phone calls, email campaigns, events, social media, and other marketing channels.

Professionals without sales experience will be considered if 1) they have strong experience in higher ed and 2) have relevant experience working with technology within higher ed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a lead generation plan to generate a sales pipeline and support monthly,  quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Develop and support account and opportunity strategies to win new business in collaboration with account executives in their respective territories.
  • Lead prospects through initial sales cycle. This includes prospecting and managing inbound leads.  
  • Discover new business opportunities as well as manage relationships with existing customer base and renewal sales for specific products.
  • Engage with prospects in a consultative process to thoroughly assess their needs and propose appropriate services.  
  • Research the marketplace for new potential customers, as well as identify new marketing content for existing customer base – information usually found by using external information sources i.e. internet, industry publications, competitor websites, referrals etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation projects.
  • Ensure successful sales through professional and timely responses, sound knowledge of services available, and timely sales execution.
  • Travel as required to prospects, customers, or marketing events.

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 6 months – 3 years of overall work experience with track record of success in consultative sales and solution selling of SaaS applications or IT consulting services; or background in management consulting, IT strategy, or technical sales support is highly preferred. Professionals without sales experience will be considered if 1) they have strong experience in higher ed and 2) have relevant experience working with technology within higher ed.
  • Strong ability to prospect new contacts within small, medium, and large universities using creative cold calling techniques and online tools such as Linkedin.  
  • Obvious passion for higher ed, technology, and technical sales with deep experience in or serving higher ed.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with experience using technology to improve organizational processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization both internally and externally at a school.
  • Ability to quickly learn the products, audience profile, and TargetX’s unique selling points.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Force.com and AppExchange offerings a huge plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage the execution of several strategic and cross-functional projects.

  • Must be able to travel (20-30%).

Implementation Consultant

Reports to: Director of Implementation
Location: Nationwide, with preference for Philadelphia region
Travel Requirements: 25-50%

Job Summary

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant with Salesforce experience and the technical aptitude to learn and grow. As an Implementation Consultant, you will play an important role within the Implementation Team by executing and implementing TargetX solutions for our higher education clients.  You will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to clients on the capabilities and feature/functionality of the TargetX product suite as it pertains to their business needs.  

You will report to the Director of Implementation and work closely with Project Managers to implement projects efficiently and effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to deliver a comprehensive TargetX solution
  • Guide and drive the client towards the best solution for their business needs
  • Execute day-to-day activities of implementation across a portfolio of clients:  leading solution design sessions, gathering and documenting functional requirements and technical specifications, and serving as subject matter expert
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through timely solution delivery within agreed upon timelines
  • Regularly communicate progress and alert Project Managers and stakeholders if a deliverable is not achievable or at risk, allowing sufficient time for a sensible course of action while recommending alternative approaches and/or options to accommodate deadlines and prevent slippages
  • Update implementation templates and related artifacts to ensure continuous improvement of materials and to incorporate lessons-learned from facilitated post-Implementation reviews
  • Support and analyze the feasibility of presales and sales opportunities where necessary

Experience Required and Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Familiarity with and experience utilizing and configuring on the Salesforce platform
