An Update on Summit 2020, from our CEO

Right now, it’s impossible to see any news that doesn’t have extensive coverage of COVID-19 and the many different things being done to manage through this time. Like you, the health and safety of our colleagues, friends and families are top of mind. As we have watched most events in the spring and summer get cancelled or postponed, we came to the difficult decision that we needed to do the same.

So it is with great disappointment that we have decided to postpone the TargetX Summit until July of 2021. Even if the pandemic recedes in the coming weeks and more states “re-open”, our team felt that it would be impossible to safely put on the quality event which you have grown accustomed to.

After considering many options for a full virtual event, we also concluded that it would be impossible to offer the same level of engagement and experience that you are used to at Summit in a virtual environment. That said, not connecting with you all in some way this year was something no one on our team could stomach. So, we are currently reimagining what Summit 2020 will mean, but we are planning on conducting some virtual engagement opportunities on July 27 and 28th as planned. Don’t worry, we wouldn’t plan (nor expect you to want!) a full day of content, but our goal is to offer 2 – 3 hours of content each day as well as opportunities to interact with our team and each other. (Virtual genius bar here we come!) Please watch your inbox in the coming weeks for more information and registration information for the reimagined 2020 Summit.

The TargetX Summit 2021 will be held July 12 & 13 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA. If you registered for our 2020 event, your registration will automatically be rolled forward to next summer’s event. If you’d rather receive a refund please let us know at marketing@targetx.com by June 1, 2020 and our team would be happy to process that for you. If you hadn’t registered yet, but had a credit from last year’s Summit, we’ll roll that over to next July too. Finally, if you already made your hotel reservations at the Disneyland Hotel as part of our room block, your reservations will automatically be cancelled and any fees paid refunded. If you made reservations at a different hotel or outside of the block, you will need to contact them directly.

I look forward to our Summit every year and I will really miss seeing you all this summer. I sincerely hope you’ll join us online so that we can at least connect that way and try to have some sense of normalcy in July. Thank you for your continued support through all of this—I’ve never felt more honored to be part of the TargetX community.

I know that I will see you next summer and in the meantime, stand by you in partnership and welcome the opportunity to help in any way that we can as we navigate through this.

Yours,
Sasha Peterson
CEO, TargetX
