In case you missed it, yesterday kicked off one of the most exciting times of the year here at TargetX: Summit registration season! This year we’re bringing the magic as we head to the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA from July 27–28, and I hope to see you there this year!
Maybe you’ve never been to a TargetX Summit before, and you’re wondering if it’s the right fit for you, or maybe you’re making the case for why you should make a return trip and join us in Disneyland this year. Whatever your reason, I can confidently say that there will be something for everyone. In my past seven years at Summit, it’s never failed to be one of the most educational, exciting, and of course fun events of the year.
To kick things off, I pulled together a bit of a highlight reel of Summits past, and give you my top 3 reasons to attend the TargetX Summit!
1. The Learning and Hands-on Training
Working in education, we know there’s always something new to learn, and that’s true of your CRM, too! With over fifty breakout sessions and seven content tracks, we have learning opportunities for everyone on your team. From recruitment and admissions best practices, technology innovations from TargetX clients, and a variety of other sessions from higher ed thought leaders, you’ll be better equipped than ever before to start transforming the student experience when you head back to campus.
In addition to the breakout sessions, a Summit All Access Pass gets you admission to a full day of pre-conference training sessions. These sessions are highly focused on outcomes, and ensure that you’ll leave with actionable tips and tricks to supercharge your CRM operations, events and email strategy, or reporting. Space in these sessions is limited, and allows for a laser-focused, hands-on training exclusive to Summit!
2. The Community Building and Networking
Beyond the formal sessions, the Summit is a great opportunity to network with almost 1,000 TargetX users from over 200 colleges and universities, as well as our own TargetX staff. From birds of a feather lunches, to Monday night’s happy hour, there will be lots of formal (and informal) opportunities for networking and swapping CRM secrets and industry best practices with people who live it every day!

3. The Fun
We all go to Summit for the learning and networking opportunities, but perhaps our worst kept secret is that the fun is what keeps people coming back year after year. We won’t tell if you don’t. Last year in New Orleans, we surprised everyone with a gospel choir opening the keynote and wrapped Monday’s sessions with a parade, and we definitely have some new tricks up our sleeves for Summit 2020!
All I can say is I promise this will be our most magical Summit to date.
